All renders are done in Blender using Eevee. This model was created for the purpose of vtubing in Unity based applications. A Vtuber is a virtual entertainer that uses an avatar with realtime face and body tracking. This is my own personal model that I use for streaming on twitch.
Modeling Software Used:
Zbrush, Marvelous Designer, Blender, Marmoset, Substance Painter, Unity
Tracking
Software: VNYAN
Tracking Device: NexiGo N930AF FHD webcam
Project Length: 5-6 Months
Challenges:
Hair: Even with the assistance of a blender addon, styling the hair did take a significant amount of time and fine tuning.
Robotic Arm: Modeling and rigging the robotic arm to function in believable way was a unique challenge.
ARKit Blendshapes: This would be my 6th time creating a model with ARKit blendshape tracking. There is quite a bit of trial and error that goes into making them since some blendshapes may mix together in odd ways while tracking facial movements.
